BID NOTICE Deer Lakes School District, 17 East Union Road, Russellton, Pennsylvania 15076-0010, will receive sealed bids, appropriately identified: Asbestos Abatement and Renovation of: Deer Lakes High School 163 East Union Road, Russellton, Pennsylvania 15076 until 1:30 P.M., on Thursday, 1 May 2008, in the Business Manager's Office in the District Administration Building, 17 East Union Road, Box 10, Russellton, Pennsylvania 15076-0010. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 P.M. in the High School. Each bid shall be made upon the form provided by the Architect/Engineer and shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent of the proposed contract amount. No bid may be withdrawn after bids are opened for the period of time stated on the bid form. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive irregularities in the bid. Asbestos Abatement Project: Bid Documents are on file at Asbestos Abatement Consultant's office, AGX, Incorporated, 207 Pine Creek Road, Wexford, Pennsylvania 15090; 724/934-4249. Documents will be distributed at the Pre-Bid Meeting. Bidders are required to submit a $50.00, non-refundable deposit, made payable to "AGX, Incorporated", per set. Renovation Project: Bid Documents may be obtained from Washington Reprographics, 214 Commerce Park Drive, Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania 16066, 724/741-7444. Refundable deposits of $250.00 per set, (maximum two sets) are required, and must be in the form of a corporate or business check made payable to "Deer Lakes School District", which shall be sent to the printer. Provide separate non-refundable $25.00 check, payable to printer, for sending Bidding Documents by UPS. Renovation Project has the following 17 prime construction contracts: General Construction; Roofing Construction; Aluminum Entrances and Windows Construction; Acoustical, Drywall, and Plaster Construction; Resilient Flooring and Carpeting Construction; Visual Display Surfaces Construction; Food Service Equipment Construction; Vocational Shop Equipment Construction; General Casework Construction; Library Casework Construction; Science Casework Construction; Audience Seating Construction; Fire Suppression Construction; Plumbing Construction; HVAC Construction; Electrical Construction; and Communications Construction. Bid Document requests shall include UPS address; telephone and fax numbers; contact person. Bidders may visit the site on weekdays from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., provided 24-hour advance notice is given by calling Mr. Garry Dixson, Director of Transportation and Buildings and Grounds, at 724/265-5300, Extension 218. Pre-Bid Meeting: Wednesday, 16 April 2008, at 3:00 P.M., at the project site. Project has been registered with U.S. Green Building Council's (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System Program. School District has established certain environmental goals to enable building, upon completion, to achieve the LEED Program's "Silver" level rating. Richard L.
