New global organization, new leadership in Europe, Asia, Middle East and Latin America introduced to serve global customers better
MILWAUKEE -- Johnson Controls, the global multi-industrial leader in creating smart environments, today announced new leadership for its Security & Fire Safety business as part of a strategy to grow market share in the $24 billion global security systems integration market. The new organization can better serve customers across the globe with complex integration needs.
"Customers are clamoring for single-source providers to deliver comprehensive solutions spanning planning and consulting, enterprise technology, implementation and service," said Lisa Roy, Johnson Controls global vice president and general manager, Security & Fire Safety. "Johnson Controls has the scale and expertise to offer that kind of solution. Previously we provided these solutions to single or a few facilities at a time, but this restructuring makes complex integrations and global enterprise customers our sweet spot."
Johnson Controls solutions break down the silos between physical security, information security, IT systems, building automation and business applications, allowing the systems to work more collaboratively and efficiently without interference.
The leadership reporting to Roy includes eight global directors experienced in their respective disciplines with responsibility for strategy, operations, human resources, finance, global accounts, solutions, product program management and product development and engineering. Five regional general managers will oversee North America, Europe, Asia, Middle East and Latin America.
"Our new organization allows Johnson Controls to roll out capabilities globally while executing locally," explained Roy. "Our global leadership team is hard at work developing partnerships, technologies and other capabilities.
Meanwhile, our vast network of local branches is putting a local face on Johnson Controls, contributing local regulatory expertise, implementing solutions and providing service."
"There is a wide chasm between what the market wants and what most security integrators are set up to provide," pointed out Michael Mann, global security solutions director. "Many offer point solutions -- integrating surveillance cameras with access control, for example -- but Johnson Controls is unique in looking holistically at security strategy, asset protection, governance, technology deployment and service to give global enterprises optimal value."
